NON-PROFIT CARE PROGRAM TO CHILDREN WITH CANCER
NEGU - Never Ever Give Up!
The Jessie Rees Foundation NEGU specializes in care and encouragement for children fighting cancer and their families. Erik Reese founded the charity when his daughter, Jessie Rees, passed away from cancer. Erik's main goal is to fulfill his daughter's dying wish: "Please help every kid fighting cancer to never ever give up!"
I was privileged to work with this client throughout one of the culminating classes of the public relations major: PR Management. I worked with my two teammates to compete with other teams and win the best pitch and PR campaign for their client (decided by the professor and clients).
Following the R.P.I.E. model for the development of our PR campaign, we also packed "Joy Jars" (fun care packages for children) with the founder and director, Erik Rees. The jars were filled with candy, encouragement, and toys for sick children in the Irvine Joy Factory. On the day of the pitch, we were thrilled to be selected for best pitch involving an awareness and action-based campaign toward donor audiences! (Click here to view the winning campaign.)
The founder also very kindly invited my team to attend his annual NEGU Gala, a fabulous fundraiser aimed to support future NEGU efforts!
